Set up DNS at GoDaddy
Add the eoinbox DNS records to a domain whose DNS is managed at GoDaddy.
Menus change. GoDaddy updates its dashboard from time to time,
so button and menu names may differ slightly from this guide. Look for the DNS settings of
your domain; the records you need are always the same. Your eoinbox dashboard shows the
exact values and checks them for you.
These steps apply when your domain uses GoDaddy's nameservers. If you moved the nameservers elsewhere, edit DNS there instead.
Find the DNS settings
- Sign in to your GoDaddy account.
- Open My Products (or Domain Portfolio) and select the domain.
- Choose DNS (sometimes Manage DNS). You see the list of DNS records.
- Use Add New Record for each row below.

Filling in the form
- Type: choose the record type from the list.
- Name: use
@for the domain itself, or the name from the table, such as_dmarcoreo1._domainkey. Do not add your domain to the end, GoDaddy does that for you. - MX: put
mx1.eoinbox.comin Value and10in Priority. Add another record formx2.eoinbox.comwith priority20. - TXT: paste the value as shown, without quotes.
- CNAME: paste the target into Value.
- SRV: GoDaddy splits SRV into fields: Service
_imaps(or_submissions,_jmap), Protocol_tcp, Name@, Priority0, Weight1, Port993(465,443), Targetmail.eoinbox.com. - TTL: the default is fine.
Remove old mail records
If the domain used GoDaddy's email or Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy, there will be existing MX records (and often an autodiscover CNAME and an SPF record). When you are ready to switch, delete the old MX records and replace the autodiscover CNAME with ours. Merge the SPF record rather than adding a second one.
GoDaddy sometimes asks you to confirm when you remove records that belong to one of its email products. If your mailbox there is still active, export or import your mail first.
